    Blue for me all day everyday! I love the contrast of the red and black of the face of the cards to the blue. The red backs seem to get muddled with the red faces to me. But actually if I'm not using bicycle cards, any color back is great as long as it's not red. I just love the contrast a different color gives visually...

    For EDC-- you read my mind regarding always having Ring flight on my car key chain. Love that effect. More specifically it's the newer Yigel Mesika Ring flight where it's just one key and can easily go onto any keychain. Also have Jeff Prace''s Mon-Key on my keys. Have Gregory Wilson's Pointless in my day bag as well. Lastly, a ton of magic apps!! including DFB, Wikitest, etc !!!

    Thank you for the video Brian. I'd love to meet Gaetano one day. Question: What about Illusion manufacturers. The asking price for any stage illusion is a lot. and the only way to buy from them is a wire transfer. including "reputable" ones. are there ways to be protected? specially for the insane prices

    • @OBrienMagic
      @OBrienMagic 2 дні тому

      I think it comes down to knowing which ones are reputable and are not. Knowing who to trust and who not to. Having said that, I would still be wary of sending a wire even then. Any reputable illusion builder should have the ability to accept a credit card payment. I see no reason why they couldn’t.

    Magicians should invest in their self. Marketing, spend money to get good graphics, website and ad copy. Health, gym membership, healthy eating, life coach, therapist etc. Appearance, magicians should look at their physical appearance. Hygiene being important.

    So for anyone like me who has ACTUAL small hands, DO NOT use misdirection. It takes away from the trick and most people don't fall for it, especially if you're performing to a group. Gambler's cop or tenkai is really your only options. 'But just use smaller cards duuuuddddee'. No. Don't. Some people will immediately become suspicious if the cards look too small, and bridge size bikes are A. difficult to source in bulk, B. Way more expensive, and C. Won't be compatible with most tricks on the market. And Waddingtons just don't have the same feel (and trick compatibility). Sorry to say your best options are to rework the trick to fit your hand size. Now that's not to say some moves can't be reworked. For example, I had to rework the Erdnase colour change by pushing further forwards and pulling back with the hand further forwards. There's practically no wiggle room and it took hours of practice, but I got there. It's a lot more work, but don't be disheartened. You can still be a magician with tinsy hands like mine 🫠

    I guess i agree morally, but... Piracy exists, and complaing about it just because now it effects you, it's just a random useless rant. Mind that i'm a guy who bought from YOU pokemonte, and now that i'm changing it to better fit me, and that i know the istruction, i'm buying actual pokemon card and not buying it again from you. I follow you on youtube, i click "like" now and then, and i think its fair because i really want to support you...but... I dont think that "buy the original thing just to support me and stop complaing if you cannot afford it" is unfair the other way around. Why should always the last customer pay for the extra? Why murphy and penguin can "rip the creator off his money", and why is always the last customer that has to pay for it? Do you want us to support you? There s patron for that. No need for us to overpay something that can be cheaper. Is it fair? No Is the solution "not to make any more products"? I dont think so, because you are getting views, and people are using your creation and the thing spreads and yada yada yada... People are going to steal your download. People are going to reprint your special deck. Movies have been always pirated, music too. And it looks to me they are still around doing their thing. Is it fair? No..but it's the way it goes and if you are in the business, i guess you knew it already before realising the product and you had accounted for it. Love your thinking, love your products and video. Keep on! I dont think i deserve getting banned for this, but lets see what happens...

    • @OBrienMagic
      @OBrienMagic 9 днів тому

      Haha not going to ban you. You were not rude or say anything mean or hateful. You are correct. I do think however that bringing awareness to this is reasonable. I felt this way even before putting products out so it is not “now that effects me personally” at all. I have seen countless others get ripped off and even hesitated myself to want to start putting out my ideas for the same exact reason. This has been going on for years but I figured why nottalk about it. To address your points, 1 yes you did buy pokemonte but are now changing things and buying your own cards. I think that is 100% fine. You supported me and now are making it your own! I think that is totally fine. 2 Murphy’s is not ripping me off. I entered an agreement with them knowinh I’d make less money per unit and in exchange my product would be distributed worldwide. Walk into any magic shop in the world and there is a chance you may find my product there. Because MMS put it there. Its a sacrifice I am chosing to make AND I am still getting paid for it.. lol its not being stolen and sold without my permission where I don’t see a dime. 3 I DO have a membership and plenty of people support me there. I put my tutorials up and if people want to go out and buy their own cards that is fine. But the point is they support me (like it sounds you do.) I have no issue with people buying more affordable versions of what I sell, as long as at some point in the transaction $ comes into my pocket and not going to someone else who stole all my hard work. 4 yea I do think it sucks and “it happens” but at the end of the day, I am a content creator and have the right to discuss what I want. In this instance, I al going to discuss this topic. I have had people calling me “mentally ill” for saying you should not steal from others… that is the level we are at these days when it comes to the internet. Lol Thanks for your feedback and your support! It means a lot!

    • @frazecc
      @frazecc 9 днів тому

      @@OBrienMagic I understand that "useless rant" is not a nice way to describe what you did but, sadly, it's going to be useless since piracy exists from a long time and will not stop. There`s a saying in magic, that you have to know your audience. Magic is the art of deception. Expecting honesty for a bunch of scammers seems to be very optimistic to me. Sorry to say Michael: I`m absolutely not surprised of the reactions you got (and a quick look at the history of magic will confirm this is nothing new, as I`m sure you know already)

    • @OBrienMagic
      @OBrienMagic 9 днів тому

      The art of deception is not “lying” though or being “dishonest.” IMO. It is like putting on a play. It is acting. The audience is supposed to understand you are pretending to do the things you are doing. Its not like say a psychic who is pretending this is all real and using to to manipulate people or a pick pocket who is stealing with the intent to not give it back. Having said that, I do see your point lol IMO it isn’t a “magicians” problem though so much as it is a “people in gneneral” problem.
